The ‘Aapki Sadak’ project was initiated to improve mobility and accessibility in a typical urban precinct by providing infrastructure that would allow the community to use more public and non-motorised transport. The project served a neighbourhood road lying between two mass transit corridors i.e. Malviya Nagar Metro Station and the Chirag Dilli Bus Rapid Transit corridor in New Delhi. This report captures steps involved as a methodology for initiating community-led engagement to improve mobility and accessibility in an existing urban neighbourhood.
