The National Solar Mission (NSM) provides an opportunity to offer solar-specific interventions in the finance domain, channelizing domestic and international sources of finance. Solutions on financing issues will boost investor confidence, enhance return on investments and reduce the cost of solar power generation. Thus, this report recommends that India adopts stronger policies and mechanisms to finance solar energy to achieve the targets of the National Solar Mission.
