Measurement and Verification (M&V) forms an integral part of any DSM programme as it quantifies and assesses its impact and sustainability. This document reviews some of the current M&V frameworks adopted in India and abroad. It showcases a few international practices and relevant case studies to illustrate successful M&V approaches and methods to guide Indian electric utilities in planning and acquiring megawatt scale DSM resources.
