According to the analysis, Under an aggressive intervention scenario, based on the introduction of various efficiency improvement measures, India has a cumulative diesel saving potential of 0.32 billion litres and 1.56 billion litres by 2017 and 2022 as compared to a Business as Usual Scenario. This will amount to a saving of 1.4 billion USD by 2022.
