A roundtable, held on 27 November 2017, supported by Shakti and organized by the Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy and Edelweiss brought together policy makers, Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and the private sector to discuss deeper policy reform measures to jumpstart the municipal bond market. Participants highlighted governance challenges, infrastructure gaps and institutional and financial arrangements that municipal bodies must consider to mobilize investments.
