Subsequent phases of the PAT scheme are expected to include new industrial subsectors based on their energy savings potential. This study establishes energy consumption in the following sectors and prioritizes them based on their saving potential — chemicals (other than petrochemicals), automobile, dairy and dairy products, beverages and distilleries, glass and ceramics, sugar, copper and zinc, and vegetable oil refineries subsectors.
