Over the last decade, Visakhapatnam has developed two of the six main Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridors with the aim of improving access and reliability of their mobility system. Over 41 km of the BRT corridor cuts across Visakhapatnam city, separated from vehicular traffic, connecting Pendurthy to Dhwaraka Nagar through two major routes. An inspection of the underlying issues reveals several components that need reform. This report gives several recommendations that are aimed at making the BRT system operational at the earliest.
